  • *Key Responsibilities**

As a Happiness Engineer - Customer Support & Success Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Working as part of our global team with a high degree of independence and accountability
  • Assisting a variety of customers by email, live chat, voice, and/or video calls, including technical troubleshooting, educational walkthroughs, and consultative sales calls
  • Going beyond the immediate question to help our customers succeed with our products
  • Reaching out to potential and existing customers to learn about their goals, experience with our products, and how we can ensure their continued success
  • Problem-solving, troubleshooting, dogfooding, and testing
  • Embracing change and learning new things
  • Proactively recommending ideas that will help the customer be more successful
  • *What We're Looking For**

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Deep experience in technical support, engineering, and/or customer success
  • Proficiency with WordPress is a big plus
  • Expert communication skills, with the ability to quickly establish rapport with end users, developers, and agency clients alike
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with great judgment and a focus on sustained growth for our customers
  • Accountability and impeccable follow-through, with the ability to stay professional and respectful in intense situations
  • Adaptability, curiosity, and a love of learning new things
  • A deep commitment to the customer experience, with a focus on personal responsibility and continuous improvement
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to raise issues internally and drive follow-up to ensure resolutions
  • Bonus skill: Experience with eCommerce or setting up a business
  • *Ideal Candidate**

While the above skills are essential, an ideal candidate would also possess the following:

  • Experience as either a deep technical troubleshooter (Tier 3 or other escalated support team), or a customer success representative or technical account manager for agency-level clientele
  • Experience creating and supporting WordPress websites, and with customizing WordPress themes and plugins using PHP, CSS, JS, and HTML
  • Experience in sales or technical account management, or leadership in a technical or customer success field
