- *Job Summary**
As a Full Stack Pharmacy Technician – Remote Data Entry and Customer Service Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy operations, ensuring accurate and timely data entry, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients and customers. This is a full-time remote position, requiring a high level of independence, self-motivation, and strong communication skills.
- *Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including register performance, security issues, and confidentiality.
- Assist the pharmacist by receiving new written or electronic prescriptions or refill requests, verifying accuracy and completeness of patient information, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Receive new prescriptions from doctors' offices, gather required information, and refer medical questions to the pharmacist.
- Access, input, and retrieve patient and prescription information into and from the computer, accurately billing insurance and generating labels for medications.
- Complete third-party claims adjudication, addressing rejections in a timely manner, and making necessary provider and third-party calls.
- Maintain effective communication with all staff regarding data entry processes, denied claims, and daily progress.
- Develop courteous and professional relationships with patients, customers, and co-workers.
- Work with the pharmacist to ensure proper Medicare DMEPOS paperwork is complete, provide appropriate product to the customer, and maintain accurate billing records.
- Ensure all controlled substance dispensing rules are followed (MMEs, PDMP, date of last fill).
- Conduct patients, provider, and third-party outreach calls as necessary.
- Assist stores in completion of MTMs and data collection.
- Assist RDOs to complete tasks as necessary for the Operations team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- *Qualifications**

- Minimum of 3 years pharmacy technician experience
- Extensive knowledge of arenaflex's pharmacy systems and software
- Missouri Board of Pharmacy licensed Pharmacy Technician
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to be self-motivated
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills or the ability to use resources to resolve issues
- *Education and/or Experience**
- High school diploma or GED; strong science background; knowledge of the metric system and good math skills; familiarity with pharmacy terminology, medication names, and aseptic techniques desirable; current national pharmacy technician certification required.
- Minimum of 3 years of Retail Pharmacy Technician experience required.
- *Board of Pharmacy Registration**
Pharmacy technicians must be registered with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy.
