As a Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for working with large datasets to develop insights and recommendations that drive business growth. You will use your quantitative skills to analyze data, identify trends, and develop statistical models to inform business decisions. You will also work closely with our engineering team to implement and validate your findings.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Use quantitative analysis and data visualization to identify trends and insights that drive business growth
  • Develop full-cycle analytics experiments, reports, and dashboards using SQL, R, Python, or other scripting and statistical tools
  • Work with and mentor junior analysts to develop advanced techniques and solve complex problems
  • Produce recommendations and use statistical strategies and hypothesis testing to validate findings
  • Provide insights to business and product leaders to understand market dynamics, customer behavior, and long-term trends
  • Identify and quantify levers to drive key metrics and make recommendations
  • Work backward from experience and sizing issues to ideate solutions
  • Report against our goals by identifying key metrics and building executive-facing dashboards to track progress
  • Collaborate with engineering to implement, document, validate, and deploy our logging

  • *Essential Qualifications:**
  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or a related role
  • Experience working with funnel optimization, customer segmentation, cohort analyses, time series analyses, regression models, etc.
  • Expertise in SQL queries, ETL, A/B testing, and statistical analysis (e.g. hypothesis testing, experimentation, regressions) with statistical packages, including Matlab, R, SAS, or Python
  • Proficiency in a single or multiple analytics & visualization tools (e.g. Chartio, Looker, Tableau)
  • The ability to take ambiguous problems and solve them in a structured, hypothesis-driven, data-supported way
  • *Preferred Qualifications:**
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and tools
  • Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and techniques
  • Experience working with large datasets and developing insights that drive business growth
