Position Overview

As an Enterprise Data Storage Administrator at arenaflex, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our enterprise-grade data storage systems. This includes overseeing Network Attached Storage (NAS), Storage Area Networks (SAN), and Direct Attached Storage (DAS) environments. You will implement and maintain robust backup and data security technologies, ensuring business continuity and compliance with industry standards.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional technology teams, including application developers, database administrators, server administrators, and other infrastructure specialists. Your expertise will be crucial in defining storage capacity planning strategies, selecting appropriate architectures, and providing technical guidance on complex installation, configuration, and backup/restore operations.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities as an Enterprise Data Storage Administrator will be diverse and challenging. Here's what you can expect:


  • Storage Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain enterprise data storage systems, including NAS, SAN, and DAS environments. Ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability of all storage resources.

  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance on complex activities, including installation, configuration, and backup/restore operations. Troubleshoot storage-related issues and implement effective solutions.

  • System Maintenance: Perform code updates and security patching to maintain the integrity of storage systems. Ensure compliance with security policies and industry regulations.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess a strong technical background and proven experience in enterprise storage administration. The ideal candidate will have:


  • Professional Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of experience in data storage or a related field, with emphasis on networking and storage protocols.

  • SAN Expertise: Industry knowledge and experience with large-scale SAN design and implementation. You should be comfortable working with complex storage area network architectures.

  • OEM Proficiency: Proven expertise in enterprise storage administration, with hands-on skill in DellEMC, Cisco, and similar Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

  • NAS Experience: Experience with NAS concepts and protocols, including CIFS (Common Internet File System), NFS (Network File System), and S3 (Simple Storage Service).

  • Data Synchronization: Knowledge of data synchronization technologies for both SAN and NAS environments. Understanding of replication, migration, and data transfer methodologies.

  • Operating System Administration: Operating system administration skills in both Linux and Windows environments. You should be comfortable working with storage configurations on multiple platforms.

  • Virtualization Expertise: VMWare concepts and administration experience. Understanding of virtualized storage environments and their unique requirements.
