  • *Your Role**

As a Desktop Support Specialist at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for providing high-performance operations support in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You'll work closely with our team to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to Windows, SCCM, Centos Linux, MAC OSX, MS Office, email, network connections, and hardware/peripherals IT systems. Your primary objective will be to deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring that our customers receive timely, professional, and courteous support.

  • *Key Responsibilities**
  • Efficient setup and configuration of software, as well as troubleshooting and repair of malfunctioning software in a Linux and Windows environment.
  • Manage end-user expectations and system troubles using technical and customer service skills.
  • Control the fundamentals of IT security protocol (account management, etc.).
  • In association with manufacturing engineers, set up and configure software, as well as troubleshoot and restore malfunctioning software in the computer environment.
  • Administer mail structures, device installation and configuration, printing structures, set up of third-party software.
  • Set up and improve PC structures in a networked environment with minimal user interruption.
  • Properly integrate devices, including printers, scanners, and digitizing capsules, with Linux, Macintosh, and Windows systems.
  • Examine current strategies, identify areas for improvement, and advise viable solutions.
  • Actively participate in ongoing technology introduction, improvement discussions, and projects in both an individual and institutional setting.
  • Control break-restoration expectations with staff and communicate adjustments accordingly.
  • Study and recommend hardware and software solutions as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair, or set up for repair of defective computer equipment.
  • Successfully communicate problem resolutions and initiatives in progress to concerned parties on a timely basis.
  • Identify and advise solutions to technical problems as needed.
  • Record and communicate machine guide issues with end-users, IT team members, and management.
  • Carry out special projects as needed.
  • *Essential Qualifications**
  • Degree or Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology or equivalent, or years of desktop support experience in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong understanding of technology and the role of the patron in relation to the larger IT infrastructure.
  • Strong skills in Linux running structures (Centos broadly speaking). Command line experience required. Remote control and scripting experience beneficial.
  • Windows 7 or 10 operating systems experience a plus.
  • Experience helping 3-D artists and software developers or working in a creative environment a plus.
  • Able to communicate in a professional and pleasant way with co-workers.
  • Excellent technical, verbal, and written skills.
  • Self-starter, active, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Team player that strives to maximize team/department performance.
  • Element-oriented and able to handle a variety of tasks in a flexible way.
  • Able to manage time successfully, triage, and prioritize based on manufacturing needs.
  • Able to lift 22kgs on a regular basis.
  • Must be willing to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IT security protocols and procedures.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software and hardware.
