Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to become an integral part of our Video Planning organization. In this role, you will work closely with talented professionals from various disciplines to mine complex datasets, develop and evaluate modeling pipelines, analyze large-scale data, create compelling visualizations, and ensure the highest quality deliverables. Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Algorithm Development & Evaluation: Design, implement, and evaluate advanced machine learning algorithms and statistical models to solve complex problems in video processing, content recommendation, and user experience optimization.
• Data Analysis & Mining: Conduct deep-dive analysis into data anomalies, model performance issues, and user behavior patterns. Identify trends, correlations, and insights that can inform product improvements and strategic decisions.
• Deep Learning Model Interpretation: Develop interpretation techniques for deep learning models to ensure transparency, fairness, and reliability. Work on explainability methods that help stakeholders understand model predictions and behavior.
• Insight Communication: Generate and present comprehensive data insights with clear visualizations and actionable recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Translate technical findings into business-friendly language.
• Statistical Analysis: Apply advanced statistical analysis and big data analytics techniques to drive meaningful experiences for our customers. Utilize hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and other statistical methods to validate findings.
• Requirement Analysis: Evaluate potential features and improvements based on client requirements to make informed decisions for internal product enhancements. Balance technical feasibility with business value.
• Model Performance Assessment: Provide quantitative analysis of experimental results and real customer data to understand current model and algorithm performance. Identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Mathematical Modeling: Create sophisticated mathematical models to project outcomes and inform critical business decisions. Develop forecasting models that help predict user behavior and system performance.
• Customer Feedback Analysis: Collect and analyze authentic customer feedback on shipped products to support future product development and guide strategic direction. Incorporate user insights into the product roadmap.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively with AI teams, cloud infrastructure support teams, and other cross-functional groups to ensure seamless integration of data science solutions into production systems.

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. Advanced degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) are highly valued but not mandatory.
• Professional Experience: Demonstrated work experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field. We welcome both experienced professionals and talented individuals early in their careers who possess strong technical foundations.
• Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar languages commonly used in data science and machine learning applications.

• Data Manipulation: Strong skills in data wrangling, cleaning, and preprocessing. Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed computing environments.
• Statistical Knowledge: Strong foundation in statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimental design. Ability to apply appropriate statistical methods to validate findings.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.
• Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Capacity to approach complex challenges with creativity and rigor.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with computer vision, video processing, or multimedia analytics.
• Familiarity with Extended Reality (AR/VR) technologies and their underlying data challenges.
• Knowledge of 2D and 3D deep learning techniques for scene understanding and spatial intelligence.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and deployment of machine learning models at scale.
• Understanding of sensor data processing, particularly LIDAR or similar depth sensing technologies.
• Experience working with product development teams to translate research into shipped features.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices and version control systems.
