Position Overview: Data Entry & Payroll Specialist
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry & Payroll Specialist to join our Asia-Pacific (APAC) finance operations. This is a fully remote position with day shift hours, offering a competitive annual salary of $65,000 plus comprehensive benefits. You'll be instrumental in maintaining our database systems with exceptional precision while supporting our payroll operations across multiple APAC regions.
This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, and possesses excellent communication skills. You'll collaborate closely with team members across different time zones to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with established protocols.
What You'll Do
- Data Management: Enter, verify, and update data with precision and efficiency in our centralized database systems. Ensure all information is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
- Payroll Processing: Handle payroll processing for assigned APAC countries utilizing our third-party payroll infrastructure. Manage weekly expense processing through our integrated payment systems.
- Employee Records: Prepare, post, and manage payroll changes including new hires and leavers for each entity. Ensure all new hire documentation complies with regulatory requirements.
- Compliance & Reporting: Responsible for reporting new hire and leaver files to payroll providers within required timelines. Conduct validation of payroll input against payroll checks and coordinate with payroll carriers for necessary corrections.
- Payment Coordination: Coordinate with payroll providers to ensure timely payout to employees and statutory payments. Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reporting and taxation activities.
- Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding payroll inquiries through our support ticketing system. Provide outstanding support and timely responses to resolve issues.
- Financial Administration: Record, screen, and analyze monthly payroll costs. Create and manage purchase orders as needed. Report and monitor payroll providers' contract renewal dates.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with team members across the Philippines, Singapore, and other APAC locations. Follow global system alignment and contribute to process improvements.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll and accounting processing within a BPO or shared services environment
- Experience working with APAC payroll, specifically in Korea, Australia, and India
- Strong knowledge of payroll and associated statutory labor laws required for payroll-related calculations
- Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Microsoft Excel and Word, and our HR management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work remotely and collaborate effectively with team members across different time zones
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in the entertainment or streaming industry
- Knowledge of multiple Asian languages would be advantageous
- Experience with Zendesk or similar ticketing systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
