As a Ramp Agent, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of baggage, cargo, and mail to and from aircraft. This role requires a high level of physical activity, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. You will work in a team environment, collaborating with other agents to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer service.
- *Key Responsibilities**
- Safely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft
- Ensure timely connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft from gate positions
- Safeguard cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather
- Safely drive and operate ground equipment, such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors, in areas of congestion
- Operate baggage scanners and computers to ensure accurate routing of baggage to destinations
- Work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing situations and priorities
- Collaborate with other agents to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer service

- *Essential Qualifications**
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data

- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
- Has a valid driver's license
- Proficiency in English
- Pass a physical ability test (PAT)
- Must wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include, but not limited to: hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear (bump cap or hard hat), and high visibility safety apparel subject to an approved accommodation, such as alternate PPE
- Ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal

- Previous experience in a customer service or ramp agent role
- Knowledge of airport operations and procedures
- Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing situations and priorities
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
