Apex Structural Engineering is committed to advancing the field of structural engineering while ensuring a supportive work culture. They are seeking a talented and motivated Structural Engineer to design and analyze structures, collaborate with professionals, and contribute to innovative projects.
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and review structural components and systems for various projects
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction professionals to develop innovative solutions
- Additional responsibilities include calculation development, steel shop drawing reviews, submittal preparation, RFI development and new calculation development to enhance efficiencies
- Utilize analysis software programs such as Tekla Structural Designer, Excel, Idea Statica, BlueBeam, RISA Suite, Revit and Ram Connection
- Review 3-D BIM models to aid in building design, connection design and shop drawing reviews
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering
- EIT certification
- A firm understanding of relevant building codes, materials, and standards
- Enthusiasm and desire to succeed and develop technical skills
- Excellent communication skills are required, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail, logical problem-solving skills, and strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines
- Passion for steel and concrete design and growing professional knowledge and skills in steel and concrete construction
- Diploma/Certificate
- American Citizenship/Legally able to work in the United States of America
- Master's degree in civil or structural engineering is a plus
- Software skills with any of the following are a plus: Tekla Structural Designer, Excel, Idea Statica, BlueBeam, RISA Suite, Revit and Ram Connection
