Position Overview

We are currently looking for an Entry-Level Data Analyst to join our Business Intelligence and Analytics team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are eager to launch their careers in data analytics within a Fortune 500 environment. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing processes and procedures related to a wide variety of data sets used for data mining and analysis to enable informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of our analytics team, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

• Data Analysis and Mining: Under moderate supervision, plan and execute cycles and procedures related to a wide variety of data sets used for data mining and analysis to enable informed business decisions. You will work with large datasets across multiple platforms, ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the analysis process.
• Statistical Analysis: Gain understanding into key business issues and outcomes by applying statistical analysis techniques to examine structured and unstructured data from multiple dissimilar sources. You will develop hypotheses, conduct experiments, and translate complex statistical findings into actionable business recommendations.
• Solution Development: With moderate guidance, create solutions from initial concept to production. This includes designing analytical frameworks, building data models, and implementing reporting tools that support business objectives across various departments.
• Technology Evaluation: Effectively utilize current and emerging technologies to evaluate trends and develop meaningful insights and recommendations to management, through understanding of the business model and the information available for analysis. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analytics.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Regularly use data, statistical and quantitative analysis, limited modeling, and fact-based management to drive decision-making. You will be responsible for providing data-backed recommendations that influence strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
• Mentorship and Collaboration: Guide less senior staff and contribute to cross-functional projects and initiatives. Share your knowledge and expertise with team members while learning from experienced professionals in the organization.
• Stakeholder Communication: Present findings and recommendations to leadership and broad audiences. Translate complex technical findings into clear, compelling narratives that drive action and business value.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics, or finance from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Three (3) years of work experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem-solving, operations analysis, marketing analysis, simulation development, and/or predictive analytics. Related internship experience or relevant project work may be considered.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in analysis software and applications. Hands-on experience with at least one programming language (preferably Python or R) and familiarity with database querying languages such as SQL.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think critically when approaching business challenges. Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.

• Experience or coursework in Agile methodologies (SAFe Agile preferred)


• Experience with requirements gathering and business analysis


• Proficiency in probability and statistics with application to business problems


• Advanced SQL skills (TSQL/PLSQL) for complex data extraction and manipulation


• Strong proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and visualization


• Experience with mathematical analysis and predictive modeling techniques


• Knowledge of categorical data analysis and specialized statistical methods


• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud platform and services


• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)


• Proficiency with Alteryx for data blending and analytical processes


• Understanding of automation principles and robotic process automation


• Basic knowledge of revenue data and financial analytics


• Fundamental accounting knowledge and familiarity with financial statements


• Experience with data visualization tools and dashboard creation


• Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations
