Westinghouse Electric Co is committed to providing clean energy solutions and is seeking an Engineer and Project Manager to oversee a small matrix team. The role involves managing supplier relationships, ensuring quality and technical requirements are met, and coordinating various aspects of the procurement process for AP1000 equipment.


Responsibilities

  • You will support Supplier Identification and down selection
  • You will support completion of Supplier Audits and Technical EvaluationsCreation of the Manufacturing and Process Plan estimates for use in design option selection or validation of cost and schedule
  • Coordinate Supplier Oversight Quality Assurance (QA) Technical Witness and Hold Points
  • Create Agendas and support Kick-Off meetings with Suppliers
  • Schedule and support scheduled meetings (e.g., bi-weekly, weekly) with Supplier and Westinghouse Project Support Team Members
  • Schedule and support pre-job briefs and kick-off meetings for important/critical PO manufacturing activities
  • Support Purchase Order (PO) Change Notices

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering
  • 0 or more years of experience in the Power Generation or Nuclear Industries
  • Experience in other industries is also acceptable, including Oil & Gas, Pipelines, Refineries, Offshore Oil Production Platforms, Ship Building, Manufacturing Plants, Supply Chain
  • Be familiar with Manufacturing Capability Assessment concepts/Supplier Technical Evaluations
