Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP is a prestigious law firm seeking a Document Services Assistant to join their document production department. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in document processing, administrative support, and proofreading, while providing opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding client service to both internal and external clients
- Create/revise documents using MS Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and PDF software (Adobe Acrobat and Kofax Power PDF Advanced)
- Learn and apply firm styles and formatting in Word
- Compare ('redline') documents using Litera Compare
- Assist with application and template testing, overflow work and special projects as needed
- Review documents for typos, grammar and sense
- Review documents against master files for discrepancies in content
- Review documents for formatting inconsistencies/appearance
- Mark up Word and PDF files to indicate any corrections or comments
- Enter productivity data into department tracker
- Arrange appointments and meetings (including virtual platforms such as Zoom and MS Teams)
Skills
- A Bachelor's Degree is required
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Must be a professional, proactive and energetic team player
- Exceptionally well organized and detail oriented
- Ability to learn, retain and apply protocols and best practices to various project types
- Ability to manage multiple projects within a deadline-driven environment
- Capable of acting with a sense of urgency when necessary; willing to work occasional overtime
- Ability to cultivate and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues
