Position Overview

As a Director of Risk Management at arenaflex, you will be responsible for fostering business procedures and developing comprehensive risk management solutions using business and consumer department data. You will investigate both structured and unstructured information, interpreting data through statistical, financial, AI, and business intelligence methods to drive actionable insights.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate effectively with technology teams and other business units to integrate risk management approaches and implement business strategies. You will identify and evaluate new data sources—both controlled and non-managed—that could add sustainable profitability to arenaflex's products and services.

Key Responsibilities


  • Data Analysis & Interpretation: Examine structured and unstructured data using statistical, financial, artificial intelligence, and business intelligence methodologies to derive meaningful insights that inform business decisions.

  • Risk Management Strategy: Develop and implement robust risk management frameworks and business processes that protect arenaflex while enabling sustainable growth.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with technology teams and various business units to integrate risk management approaches and execute strategic business initiatives.

  • Data Source Evaluation: Identify and assess new data sources—both controlled and unmanaged—that can contribute consistent profitability to arenaflex's products and services.

  • Continuous Improvement: Apply industry best practices and incorporate regulatory feedback to drive ongoing enhancement of risk management strategies and procedures.

  • Communication: Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Business Process Optimization: Conduct cost-benefit analyses and develop strategies for improving business processes, including project management, business change initiatives, and reengineering efforts.

  • Reporting & Modeling: Utilize MS Excel for financial and data reporting and modeling, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all analytical deliverables.

Required Qualifications

Education



  • Graduate degree (Master's or higher) in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field

Experience


Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of one year of experience in each of the following areas:



  • Risk management within a financial services or related industry

  • Interpreting complex analyses for both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Collaborating with technical, analytical, business, and non-technical teams

  • Conducting cost-benefit analyses and developing business process improvement strategies

  • Project management with experience leading business change and reengineering initiatives

  • Using MS Excel for financial and data reporting and modeling

Technical Skills


Proficiency in the following tools and technologies is required:



  • Databricks

  • Python

  • R

  • SAS

  • SQL

  • Tableau

  • Teradata

  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  • Unix operating systems

Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience in the financial services or payments industry
