What You'll Do

As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers our entire entertainment platform. Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver personalized experiences to millions of members worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Build Data Pipelines: Create robust, scalable data processing pipelines that efficiently handle massive volumes of streaming and batch data from various sources across the platform.


• Data Modeling: Develop sophisticated data models that enable advanced analytics, business intelligence, and machine learning capabilities across the organization.


• Distributed Systems Development: Architect and implement solutions using big data technologies like Spark and Flink, ensuring high availability and performance at web scale.


• Real-Time Processing: Build and maintain real-time data processing services that integrate with core product features, enabling instant insights and personalized member experiences.


• Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and data scientists to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that enable a culture of learning and innovation.


• Quality Assurance: Ensure data quality through rigorous testing, validation, and monitoring, maintaining a keen eye for detail and strong data intuition.

Who You Are

We are looking for a passionate Data Engineer who thrives on solving complex problems and building elegant solutions. You should be comfortable working independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Essential Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in at least one major programming language such as Java, Scala, or Python, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies independently.


• Solid experience working with SQL and database design principles.


• Strong background in at least one of the following areas: distributed data processing, software engineering of data services, or data modeling.


• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Apache Spark or Apache Flink, with experience working with web-scale datasets.


• A keen eye for detail, strong data intuition, and a passion for data quality.


• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with business, engineering, and data science teams.


• Appreciation for excellent documentation and strong data debugging abilities.


• Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment with ambiguous requirements.


• Nimble mindset with the willingness to take smart risks and embrace innovation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.


• Knowledge of stream processing frameworks and event-driven architectures.
