Position Overview: Insurance Customer Care Representative

We're currently seeking talented Customer Care Representatives to join our team at arenaflex. In this role, you'll be the frontline of our customer experience, assisting both internal and external customers with moderately complex issues related to insurance matters. You'll deliver exceptional service while proactively seeking feasible solutions within compliance and legal requirements, ensuring every interaction leaves our customers feeling valued and supported.

This position offers the flexibility of remote work combined with the option to collaborate in person at our corporate offices. Our hybrid work environment combines the best of both worlds with at least three (3) days in office and up to two (2) days virtual for employees who live within fifty (50) miles of an arenaflex corporate office. Applicants beyond fifty (50) miles may still be considered for fully remote arrangements.

Compensation and Schedule

We believe in rewarding our team members fairly for their skills, experience, and contributions. The compensation for this role ranges from $21.74 to $26.70 per hour, depending on the candidate's geographical location. We also offer exciting bonus opportunities based on company and individual performance, giving you even more potential to grow your income as you advance in your career.

Training Schedule: Our comprehensive training program runs Monday through Friday from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM EST. This focused training period will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed in your role.

Department Hours: Once training is complete, you'll be assigned an 8-hour shift within our department hours of Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST. We value work-life balance and strive to provide predictable scheduling that allows you to plan your personal life effectively.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Care Representative at arenaflex, you'll play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. Your primary responsibilities will include:


  • Customer Inquiry Resolution: Receives and responds to inquiries related to insurance matters. Interacts with customers, agents, and others to resolve moderately complex issues regarding policy provisions and conditions. You'll evaluate and interpret policy information within prescribed authority limits, using your product knowledge to provide accurate and helpful information.

  • Multi-Channel Communication: Communicates with customers via multiple channels—including phone, email, chat, and potentially video—while navigating multiple systems and platforms. You'll become proficient in our technology ecosystem to deliver seamless service.

  • System Navigation: Accesses account information and communicates while working in multiple systems. Uses account information, deep product knowledge, and knowledge of compliance or legal requirements to make appropriate recommendations or decisions. Documents customer interactions and outcomes thoroughly in our system.

  • Escalation Management: Escalates unresolved issues requiring advanced support for further resolution. You'll know when to bring in additional expertise to ensure every customer receives the help they need.

  • Continuous Learning: Builds knowledge and acumen through self-directed learning. Stays informed about underwriting and policy guidelines and other updates including compliance and legal requirements. We support your growth with ongoing training opportunities.

  • Knowledge Sharing: Helps maintain department knowledge resources to keep them current. Your insights and experiences will help improve our processes and support your colleagues.

  • Trend Identification: Actively listens to customer concerns to identify trends or patterns that could indicate broader issues or opportunities for improvement.

  • Process Improvement: Recognizes opportunities for process improvement and makes recommendations to leadership. We value employees who think critically about how we can serve our customers better.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partners with various departments including Policy Support, Claims, and Underwriting to respond to customer inquiries. You'll be part of a larger ecosystem working together for the customer.

  • Vendor Coordination: May work with external vendors to further address customer needs, expanding your professional network and skill set.

  • Schedule Adherence: Adheres to assigned, tightly regulated schedule and follows procedures for requesting time off. Reliability and punctuality are essential in this role.

Education Requirements



  • High school diploma or equivalent required. We value diverse educational backgrounds and the unique perspectives each team member brings.

Work Experience



  • One year of experience in insurance or related field is preferred. However, we encourage candidates with strong customer service backgrounds from other industries to apply.

  • Experience providing customer support within a high-volume, complex environment is highly preferred. The ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining composure is essential.
