What You'll Do
As a Data Center Technician at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in monitoring, maintaining, and deploying the state-of-the-art physical infrastructure that powers our search technology and cloud services. Your work will directly impact millions of users worldwide who rely on our platforms every single day.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Deployment: Contribute to and lead efforts in the deployment, maintenance, and support of cutting-edge data center infrastructure. You'll be involved in installing, configuring, and commissioning new servers and network equipment across our global data center footprint.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Participate in or lead complex troubleshooting sessions to resolve critical or escalated technical issues. You'll diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems that impact service availability and performance.
- Hardware Testing: Test and troubleshoot new server hardware components and designs. You'll work closely with engineering teams to validate the functionality and reliability of next-generation hardware before full deployment.
- Operating System Configuration: Configure and troubleshoot Linux operating system-related issues on servers. You'll become proficient in using Linux tools and command-line interfaces to maintain system health and performance.
- Server & Network Infrastructure: Deploy and maintain arenaflex's advanced data center server and network infrastructure. You'll ensure our systems operate at peak efficiency while supporting our expanding global network.
- Project Participation: Take part in or lead local project teams on large-scale installations and develop project contingency plans. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of infrastructure initiatives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that our goals, missions, and tasks are effectively delivered. You'll communicate technical status updates and coordinate with teams across multiple locations.
Who We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of troubleshooting hardware and software problems using Linux tools
- Experience working in a data center or network operations center environment
- Knowledge of troubleshooting and diagnosing computer, server, and network hardware issues
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with light coding or scripting (Python, Bash, Perl, or similar)
- Experience in project management and leadership
- Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.)
- Ability to collaborate and work with cross-functional teams to overcome complex technical challenges
- Experience with server hardware installation and maintenance
- Understanding of data center cooling and power systems
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar technical credentials

Compensation
- Hourly Rate: Up to $25/hour (commensurate with experience and location)
- Annual Salary Range: $77,000 - $110,000 (for full-time positions, determined by role, level, and location)
