Credit Analyst - 9-month Fixed-Term

Coast Capital Savings is a member-owned cooperative dedicated to helping its members achieve their financial goals. They are seeking a Credit Analyst to analyze credit submissions and provide approvals for loans and leases, while also assisting in the development of training processes for equipment loans and leases.

Responsibilities

• Conducts random audits. Ensures appropriate action is taken in regard to results, i.e.: documentation, follow up, and reporting
• Maintains regular contact and a reciprocal relationship on behalf of the CTG with various outside agencies and related offices (e.g.: Law Firms, Brokers, other Credit Unions etc)
• Effectively communicates credit decisions to applicable staff in a clear, concise and respectful manner
• Provides timely and accurate application ajuducation as detailed in the SLA
• Lending limits up to $250,000.00 dependant on experience level and aptitude

Skills

• Minimum 1 – 3 Years of Job-Related Experience
• High School Diploma plus completion of a Certificate Program (equivalent to one full year or 10 courses)
• Successful completion of all in-house commercial /equipment Lending courses, or equivalent work experience
• Expert understanding of the Loans Origination System
• Proficient knowledge of PC's; including a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Working knowledge of presentation equipment and software
• Expert understanding of Compass Application System
• Advanced financial services background
• Expert knowledge of all aspects and functions of CTG lease/ lending products, polices and procedures
• Advanced knowledge of risk management as it relates to credit underwriting
• Expert interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
• Willingness to work on a team in a busy, ever changing, and occasionally stressful environment
• Advanced organizational and time management abilities
