Conference & Events Assistant

Commonwealth Financial Network is a company that prioritizes work/life balance and employee growth. They are seeking a Conference & Events Assistant to support the planning and execution of educational and invitational conferences, requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Researching venues, décor, gifts, restaurants, activities, and entertainers
• Provide ongoing support to the conference and events team by assisting with daily tasks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring effective communication
• Coordinating and supporting all administrative aspects of conferences and events, including generating and analyzing reports, maintaining accurate historical data and records, and ensuring information is organized, up-to-date, and accessible to support planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement
• Organizing internal meetings, both pre- and post-conference, coordinating weekly huddles, and preparing meeting minutes
• Keeping the production room and storage area organized and stocked, maintaining product inventory
• Handling shipping and receiving conference materials and supplies, serving as the team liaison with office services

Skills

• Ability to manage and oversee multiple projects while prioritizing team support
• Strong follow-up and time management skills
• Ability to remain calm and stay focused under pressure
• Enthusiastic, energetic, and professional demeanor
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
• Knowledge of Cvent and Salesforce is a plus
• Degree in hospitality or experience within the events industry preferred
