The role involves taking ownership of complex matters in state and federal court, with responsibilities including drafting motions and managing written discovery.

Responsibilities

• Candidates must have an excellent academic background, proven skills in writing, analysis, research, and be a self-starter who is able to take ownership of their work and contribute to active, complex matters pending in state and federal court
• Preferred candidates will have experience propounding and responding to written discovery, taking depositions, and drafting dispositive motions and pre-trial motions
• Trial experience is preferred but not required
• Experience defending class actions also a plus but not required

Skills

• Candidates must have an excellent academic background
• Proven skills in writing, analysis, research
• Must be a self-starter who is able to take ownership of their work
• Candidates must be licensed and admitted to practice in California
• Experience propounding and responding to written discovery
• Taking depositions
• Drafting dispositive motions and pre-trial motions
• Trial experience is preferred but not required
• Experience defending class actions also a plus but not required
