Business Analyst (JC-511946) - Information Technology Services (ITSD)/Business Relations Management Section (BRMS)

California Public Utilities Commission is seeking a Business Analyst to support their Information Technology Services and Business Relations Management Section. The role involves serving as a liaison between ITSD and business programs, providing business analysis support for IT projects, and assisting with IT project planning and management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between ITSD and business programs
• Function as a technical lead for lower-level staff in the BRMS
• Provide Business Analysis support for California Public Utilities Commission Information Technology projects
• Support the development and maintenance of Enterprise Architecture models
• Prepare technical documentation related to IT systems and projects
• Assist with IT Project Planning through the California IT Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) process
• Perform IT Project management duties

Skills

• Must submit a completed Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) that provides specific details and examples demonstrating how training, experience, and education qualify for the position
• Must submit a copy of transcript or diploma if using education to meet minimum qualifications
• Must submit verification of United States course/degree equivalency if education was completed outside the United States
• Employment information on the STD 678 State Application must be complete with dates, duties and responsibilities, and contact names and phone numbers of supervisors
• Must submit a current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 or the Electronic State Employment Application
