American Collectors Insurance is a company specializing in collector car insurance since 1976, seeking a Broker Development Specialist to expand market presence. The role involves building relationships with local brokers, conducting training, and representing the brand at events, while also managing a robust pipeline of leads.


Responsibilities

  • Drive Growth Through Relationships: Build and nurture broker relationships to grow new business premium and increase share of wallet with existing partners
  • Broker Channel Expansion: Identify, onboard and develop strong sales relationships with new brokers to grow our storefront presence and drive profitable business in key markets
  • In-Person Engagement: Conduct regular virtual and in-person visits to train, support and energize broker partners
  • Sales Enablement: Demonstrate the value of our TreasureGuard policy and provide hands-on portal training to help brokers quote and bind with confidence
  • Event Activation: Represent the brand at car shows and industry events to generate leads, build awareness and strengthen broker relationships
  • Marketing Support: Help brokers connect with automotive enthusiasts in their local markets through co-branded marketing and promotional efforts
  • CRM Excellence: Use Microsoft Dynamics CRM to document interactions, track progress and deliver exceptional follow-up and service
  • Territory Management: Own your territory’s growth goals and execute a strategic plan to meet or exceed new business premium targets

Skills

  • Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel up to 50% (peak travel season March-October)
  • Residence within a two-hour travel time to a major airport is required
  • Enthusiasm for networking and relationship-building within the collector car and insurance communities
  • Strong sales, presentation, and communication skills
  • Experience in broker development preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Dynamics experience a plus)
  • Collector car insurance experience is a bonus—but passion for the space is essential
  • Business development: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Territory sales and/or management: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Insurance industry: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Willingness to travel: 50% (Preferred)
