- Duties
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including journal entries, account analysis, and general ledger accounting using software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure all accounts are accurate and up-to-date
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, adhering to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards
- Conduct payroll processing and manage tax-related entries with precision, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions through double-entry bookkeeping techniques and account reconciliation procedures
- Assist with budgeting activities and provide support for financial concepts related to corporate or non-profit accounting environments
- Support audit preparations by organizing financial documentation and ensuring adherence to internal controls
- Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles with a strong understanding of accounting principles such as debits & credits, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping
- Proficiency in popular accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices is highly desirable
- Strong skills in bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis
- Familiarity with payroll processing and tax experience related to payroll taxes and reporting requirements
- Ability to perform 10 key typing with high accuracy for data entry tasks
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for balance sheet reconciliation and financial report writing
- Effective communication skills to collaborate remotely with team members and external auditors when necessary
