Associate Lawyer

Pactum Law LLP is a downtown law firm seeking an associate suited to working in a team environment, with experience in family law. The role involves representing clients at all levels of court, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and providing legal advice related to family law.

Responsibilities

• Representation of clients at all levels of Court across Alberta
• Legal research
• Draft, review and filing of legal documents
• Maintenance of files
• Providing legal advice in all matters related to family law
• Representation of clients in an ethical, professional manner
• Ongoing professional development
• Collaboration with the partners and other associates in the carriage of files

Skills

• Juris Doctor or equivalent degree from an accredited law school or Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation
• Must be an active member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
• At least two independent references must be provided
• Experience in family law is strongly preferred
• Additional years of experience are a considerable asset
