Associate Attorney

They are searching for attorneys that want to practice civil litigation, particularly in the Detroit/Southfield market. The role involves managing caseloads, participating in various steps of the litigation process, and requires a JD from an accredited law school.

Responsibilities

• Experience will determine caseload and day-to-day workload
• Less experienced attorneys will be mentored while handling entry level tasks and case details
• More experienced attorneys will manage their own case load based on their established skill sets
• Litigation associates should expect to be a part of many steps in the litigation process, such as reviewing, preparing, and approving pleadings, motions, participating in depositions and expert depositions
• Appearance for oral arguments, pre-trial conferences, and trials will be necessary

Skills

• Licensed attorney in the state of Michigan
• Experience in Worker's Compensation or Insurance Defense
• JD from an accredited law school
• 1-5 years of litigation experience
• Have a Michigan P-number in good standing
