Accounting Analyst, Reinsurance Finance- Morristown, NJ

Crum & Forster (C&F) is a historic company providing specialty and standard commercial lines insurance products. The Accounting Analyst in Reinsurance Finance will develop and maintain relationships with brokers and various departments to ensure timely payment of premiums and collection of reinsurance recoverable balances.

Responsibilities

• Provide claims notification to reinsurance companies. This includes initial notice and follow up until final settlement
• Assist in reconciliations related to new system implementation
• Coding of Reinsurance reimbursement requests submitted
• Preparation of premium remittances to ensure timely and accurate submission to brokers and reinsurers
• Record cash application of reinsurance premium and claims into our reinsurance system
• Prepare reinsurance billing of claims accurately
• Various ad hoc projects

Skills

• PC proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Access
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with internal and external customers
• Strong analytical, mathematical, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work overtime when needed
• Major in Business, Finance, Accounting preferred
• Experience in Reinsurance is a plus but not necessary
