About the Role


The Account Business Manager, Western Strategic Sales will support the strategic and day-to-day business management of key western accounts, with primary focus on Cavender’s and secondary support for Boot Barn. This role is responsible for helping manage the business through a blend of account analysis, reporting, forecasting, cross-functional coordination, and sales support. This individual will work closely with Sales leadership to drive stronger business visibility, improved execution, and greater alignment across internal teams and customer priorities. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capability, business acumen, and organizational discipline, along with the communication skills and presence to grow over time into broader sales support or customer-facing responsibility.


 


This position is remote; however, we are only considering candidates based in Texas and Oklahoma.

  • Supporting the Western Strategic Sales team in managing key account business performance, with primary emphasis on Cavender’s and additional support for Boot Barn.




  • Supporting developing and driving a close alignment with account strategy, customer priorities, and day-to-day business execution.




  • Analyzing sales, inventory, receipts, margin, and product performance to identify risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations.




  • Building, maintaining, and communicating weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to support account management and internal decision-making.




  • Providing analytical and operational support tied to seasonal planning, customer meetings, special projects, and strategic initiatives.




  • Assisting in sale process by providing additional support in forecasting, assortment analysis, replenishment tracking, and business recaps across categories and programs.




  • Partnering with Sales leadership to prepare customer presentations, line review materials, internal updates, and strategic business summaries.




  • Partnering with planning partners to support sales leadership and customers to monitor performance against forecast, plan, and financial objectives, elevating key issues and opportunities in a timely manner.




  • Coordinating with cross-functional partners including Sales Planning, Finance, Product, Customer Service, Operations, and Marketing to support business execution.




  • Tracking follow-up items, support project management across key initiatives, and help ensure alignment between internal teams and account needs.




  • Participating in customer interactions, store visits, and internal planning discussions to build account knowledge and commercial capability.

  • Assisting with other responsibilities based on business needs.



 


About You





































  • 5+ years of experience in merchandise planning, sales analysis, account support, forecasting, or a related analytical role.




  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including comfort with retail math and business performance metrics.




  • Advanced Excel skills required; experience with planning systems, reporting tools, and large data sets preferred.




  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.




  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data into clear business insights.




  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and build productive relationships across teams.




  • Commercial curiosity and interest in developing into a broader sales support or customer-facing role over time.




  • System specific need familiarity with Tableau and Alteryx




  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.




  • Experience in Western or Work industry preferred
