3D Character Designer

About the Role

We are looking for a 3D character designer who can make low poly stylized models according to ChronoCraft’s unique design standards. Your work will involve sketching and modeling monsters, creatures, characters, weapons, furniture, wearables, and more. You’ll be working remotely. As an early team member you'll have a seat at the table helping grow and influence the company as we grow.

Role responsibility
• UV unwrapping Models
• Sketching, Blueprinting and Modeling 3D Characters, weapons, furniture, and cosmetics.

Needed Skills
• Fluent English speaking
• Atleast 2+ years of 3D design in a professional capacity.
• Good understanding of character modeling with respect to rigging.
• Experience with Blender or Maya.
• A portfolio of your work included in your application.
• Ability to work remote with diligence and little supervision
• Being a self-starter. You ask to start/find new tasks, you dont wait to be assigned them.
• You possess a positive mindset that views challenges as an opportunity for more out of life.

Your Workflow
• Two-week sprints with weekly team meetings to review and adjust tasks.
• All work undergoes review to ensure it meets YouTopia’s design standards.
• Prior to investor funding, you will work part time for equity. After securing funding, you’ll work full time with salary + equity.

Opportunity
• We have been approached by various investors and rejected their offers to preserve team equity and maintain a great work culture.
• Closest product competitors would be Meta, X, Roblox, Google chrome and Steam for discovery platforms, social media platforms and Creation platforms.
• When we launched ChronoCraft alpha release (a game we are planning to release inside of YouTopia) we built relationships with youtubers from Minecraft, MMO and Roblox communities (totaling millions of followers). We currently have a community of Alpha backers, playtesters and people awaiting launch.
• We are receiving council from our private network of investors and founders for our funding and go-to-market strategy.
• Pre-funding developers will receive equity working part time. After funding, developers will initially earn 45k-120k salaries full time. This is your chance to get meaningful equity before salary dispersments when we secure funding.
