Founded in 2018, Joko has reached a scale and trajectory that few European startups can match:

The Finance team ensures that Joko builds a strong, profitable, and strategically sound business. Finance is at the heart of our decision-making: we build sophisticated financial models, manage multi-country P&Ls, steer cost efficiency across the company, and provide the analytical backbone that supports our aggressive growth targets.

Today, the team consists of 2 Finance Managers, each owning specific P&L lines and partnering directly with business stakeholders across Online, Card-Linked, Gift Cards, Marketing, Tech, Product, Care, and the US. We are planning to double the team to support our growing complexity and international expansion. You will report to Quentin, our COO.

What you will do

We are looking for an exceptional finance leader ready to take ownership of a fast-scaling, multi-country finance function — someone who can both set the strategic direction and get deep into the details when needed.

Our hiring process

  1. Intro call: Quick screening with the Hiring Manager or the Talent team.

  2. Step 1 – Team interview (45 min): Conversation with two Joko team members (could include the Hiring Manager, people from the team you’d join, or colleagues from other teams).

  3. Step 2 – Role-specific assessments

    • For non-tech roles: Take-home case study followed by a 45 min interview. We assess both your output and how you think in real time. The exercise will be relevant to the role (e.g. analysis, strategy, or process design).

    • For tech roles: Live technical interviews:

      • Coding interview + System design interview

      • For research internships, an additional round may involve analyzing and presenting a research paper

  4. Step 3 – Leadership interview (45 min): Conversation with a SteerCo member and a Founder.

  5. References: Up to 3 calls with former colleagues or managers.
