Position Overview
The Quality Control Standards Data Analyst Intern will play a pivotal role in driving our culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation. You'll be responsible for identifying statistical trends and performance metrics that improve our Quality Control division. This position offers an exceptional learning opportunity to work with complex datasets, develop analytical skills, and contribute to initiatives that directly impact organizational success.
You'll assist in leveraging data to develop, present, and recommend innovative ideas and projects while performing critical analysis to mitigate the risk of non-compliance through process improvements. These enhancements will support organizational goals including maintaining low costs, modernizing operations, and improving compliance—giving arenaflex a competitive edge in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
As a valued member of our Quality Control Strategies and Standards team, your responsibilities will include:
- Data Collection and Analysis: Perform and assist others in the Quality Control team with optimal data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data elements. You'll work with large datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability of information.
- Insight Generation: Help create and deliver results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical clients and leaders. Translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations.
- Responsive Analysis: Assist with investigating critical ad-hoc requests resulting from emerging maintenance issues and provide analytical support to enable senior leadership to make informed business decisions while balancing existing project responsibilities.
- Data Visualization: Present insights, trends, and potential recommendations using data visualization tools that support the relevant aspects of the investigation to facilitate stakeholder understanding.
- Query Development: Help develop and distribute specific queries to pull and integrate data from various sources, establishing rhythms and validating the necessity of data requirements.
- Process Auditing: Identify irregularities in processes through reviews and audits, and communicate findings to the team effectively.
- Performance Monitoring: Evaluate effectiveness of processes and procedures by monitoring for trends and discrepancies.
- Compliance Focus: Ensure that a compliance mindset is at the center of every decision, supporting our commitment to regulatory excellence.
- Additional Duties: May perform other work responsibilities as directed by the Team Leader.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program (junior or senior year preferred)
- Major in Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, or related field preferred
Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau preferred
- Experience with data analysis tools like Alteryx or QuickBase is a plus
- Ability to build presentations using PowerPoint for verbal communications preferred
- Basic understanding of database concepts and query development
