Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Buyers Edge Platform is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join their Accounting team. The role involves overseeing junior accounting professionals, managing general accounting tasks, supporting financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with, oversee and help develop junior accounting professionals within the Fresh team
- Review team member work product
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Maintain and improve processes to support monthly close activities and internal controls
- Support the Controller in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Perform financial statement fluctuation/variance analyses
- Support the consolidated audit, through the preparation/review and compilation/submission of auditor requests
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and internal controls
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations
- Document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives to improve financial processes and systems
Skills
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite)
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5 to 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisor experience
- Experience in public accounting or a similar industry is a plus
