Summary
The In-Office Processor / Phlebotomist will follow instructions for the proper handling of all specimen types. He/she will process the samples for transport to the laboratory in a timely manner. This role will provide assistance to our clients in the Mobile, AL area.

· Maintain a safe work environment for his or herself and the patients by following all safety precautions outlined in the Procedure Manual, which includes wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Be friendly, courteous, and sympathetic when working with patients.
· Must follow all Procedure Manual directives.
· Will greet and properly identify patients and verify test orders.
· Will follow instructions to correctly perform venipunctures, while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.
· Will properly label, centrifuge when needed, aliquot, store, and transport all samples according to the Procedure Manual. Verify all requisition forms are completed with the required information. Accession and verify daily collections according to the Procedure Manual.

Work Environment
This role works in a physician’s office, as a Compass employee, processing specimens to be sent to the laboratory.
