About the Role
As a Quality Control Standards Data Analyst Intern at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in driving a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation within our Quality Control division. This position is ideal for students who are passionate about data analytics, statistical analysis, and process improvement. You will be responsible for identifying statistical trends and performance metrics that will help enhance our Quality Control operations, supporting the organization's goals of maintaining low costs, modernizing operations, and improving compliance.
You will work within our Quality Control Strategies and Standards Team, where you will assist in leveraging data to develop, present, and recommend innovative ideas and projects. This role involves performing critical analysis to mitigate the risk of non-compliance through process improvements—contributing directly to arenaflex's competitive advantage in the marketplace.
What You Will Do
As an integral member of our team, you can expect to:
- Participate in data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on various data elements within the Quality Control team, ensuring accuracy and reliability in our reporting processes.
- Assist in creating and delivering results from complex data analyses for both technical and non-technical clients and leaders, translating intricate data findings into actionable business insights.
- Support critical ad-hoc inquiries arising from emerging operational issues, providing timely analytical responses that enable senior leadership to make informed business decisions while balancing existing project responsibilities.
- Present insights, trends, and recommendations using data visualization tools that support relevant aspects of the analysis, facilitating partner understanding and driving strategic decision-making.
- Develop and distribute specific queries to pull and integrate data from various sources, establishing rhythms and validating the necessity of data requirements.
- Identify process anomalies through comprehensive reviews and audits, effectively communicating findings to the team and recommending corrective actions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current processes and methodologies by monitoring for trends and discrepancies, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure a compliance-focused mindset is at the center of every decision, maintaining our commitment to regulatory standards and best practices.
- Contribute to special projects and other duties as directed by the Team Leader, gaining exposure to various aspects of our business operations.

Essential Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program (preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field)
- Demonstrated ability to collect, organize, and analyze large volumes of information with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas effectively to audiences of varying technical backgrounds
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to assess business problems, identify opportunities for data-driven solutions, and translate resulting metrics into actionable recommendations
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to understand issues, summarize findings, and perform root cause analysis using logic and reasoning
- Ability to work effectively in a strong, team-oriented environment
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities and work independently
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship, capstone projects, or research coursework in a related field
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, or QuickBase
- Experience using PowerPoint to create presentations for verbal communications

Work Environment
Interns will work on-site at our Corporate Headquarters in Dallas, TX. However, we understand the importance of work-life balance and offer workplace flexibility for approximately half of the time, though interns are expected to be on-site for team-related events and collaborative projects.
