Software Engineer

We are looking for a driven, Software Engineer with experience in Node JS, React JS and Firebase to join our team as we rapidly scale through experimentation and constant iteration through feedback. You will be a contributor to our serverless environment using Firebase Functions in Google Cloud and our web app in React JS with Firebase Realtime Database that services landlords and tenants across the United States.

The problem RentRedi is solving is plaguing millions of tenants and landlords across the US. Traditional approaches have focused only on massive property management companies, leaving the majority of landlords and tenants with a renting experience neither enjoys were changing that and making renting easy and enjoyable for everyone.

Responsibilities:

• Make quick changes to experiment with accelerating growth and increasing retention and adoption.

• Make updates to an established codebase while introducing minimal bugs and side-effects.

• Deliver key features and enhancements with help from senior staff.

• Develop and maintain integrations with our partners like Stripe, TransUnion, Zillow, Realtor.com, Home Depot, Lessen, SURE Insurance, and more.
• Accelerate the RentRedi vision of making renting easy for landlords, for renters, for everyone.

Major Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in software development with JavaScript as a contributor in a fast-paced startup environment.
• 3+ years of experience in NodeJS and ReactJS, particularly with serverless environments like Cloud Functions or AWS Lambdas.
• 3+ years of experience working NoSQL environments, particularly Firebase Realtime Database.
• Demonstrated ability in delivering with quality and speed while developing features and resolving bugs.
• Bonus points for knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and Firebase, particularly Cloud Functions and Realtime Database.
• Experience writing clean code and providing instructional comments and participating in code reviews to minimize bugs and reduce rework.
• Driven towards excellence, proactively learning new tools and techniques that improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
