What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Technician at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for maintaining the critical equipment that keeps our Distribution Center running smoothly. Your days will be varied and engaging, combining preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure maximum uptime. Here's a detailed breakdown of what you can expect:
- Preventive Maintenance Excellence: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on all material handling equipment and distribution center machinery. You'll follow manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices to keep our systems operating at optimal levels and extend their useful life.
- Minor Mechanical Repairs: Handle minor mechanical fixes to conveyor systems, sortation equipment, and other material handling devices. Your expertise will be crucial in addressing issues quickly and efficiently to minimize disruption to operations.
- System Documentation: Utilize our computerized Maintenance Management System to document all maintenance activities, update preventive maintenance worksheets, and track equipment performance. Accurate record-keeping is essential for continuous improvement and compliance.

What We're Looking For: Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need a solid foundation in industrial maintenance along with the skills and experience to work with advanced automated systems. Here's what we're seeking:
- Education: An Associate's degree in Industrial Technology, Maintenance Technology, or a related field is required. Equivalent military experience or relevant technical training will also be considered.
- Experience: At least 2 years of maintenance experience in a facilities, military, distribution, or manufacturing environment. Alternatively, 4 years of hands-on maintenance experience in these settings will also meet our requirements.
- Electrical Knowledge: A strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, including single-phase and three-phase power, motors, protective devices, and photo sensors.
- PLC Expertise: At least 6 months of experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) logic principles. You should be comfortable reading and interpreting PLC programs.
- Technical Skills: A minimum of 6 months of experience uploading, downloading, and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), System Control Software (SCS), and scanners.
- Electronics Proficiency: Hands-on experience with photo sensors, PLCs, wireless I/O modules, servo drives, and variable frequency drives.
- Physical Requirements: The ability and willingness to work at heights of up to 100 feet when making repairs, with reasonable accommodations as needed.
- Lifting Ability: Capability to lift parts and tools weighing up to 80 pounds, with reasonable accommodations available.
- Mobility: Ability to perform tasks that involve repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking throughout your shift.
