**About the Role**
As a Senior Data Modeler, you'll work closely with our Application Development team to design, develop, and implement data models that drive business growth and customer satisfaction. You'll be responsible for creating intelligent and accurate data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and support various use cases. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping us unlock the full potential of our data assets and drive business decisions that positively impact our customers' lives.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Collaborate with the Application Development team to design, develop, and implement data models that drive business growth and customer satisfaction
* Create intelligent and accurate data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and support various use cases
* Develop, improve, and update data models to support new and existing projects according to organizational principles
* Design data modeling solutions optimized for social, layered, and NoSQL databases
* Maintain calculated, coherent, and accurate data models along with corresponding metadata
* Establish standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models
* Identify opportunities for reuse of data models in new contexts
* Perform data modeling from datasets and SQL scripts
* Assess data models and actual datasets for discrepancies and inconsistencies
* Approve business data objects for accuracy and completeness
* Analyze data-related system integration challenges and propose suitable solutions
* Guide Framework Examiners, Architects, Developers, and others on project constraints and capabilities, execution requirements, and interfaces
* Audit changes to existing software to improve efficiency and performance
* Review new application design and suggest amendments as needed
**What You'll Bring**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
* At least 10+ years of hands-on experience in data warehousing
* Strong knowledge of various data modeling strategies for data warehousing – 3NF, Layered, hybrid, etc.
* Experience working on large-scale (100 TB+) data warehouses (DW)/operational data stores (ODS)
* Extensive experience building data models for MPP, Social, and NoSQL advancements, such as BigData, Hive, SQL*Server, Hadoop, Cassandra, Cloud DBs like BigQuery and Snowflake
* Strong experience working with globally distributed teams in a collaborative and productive way
* Excellent relational and communication skills across a variety of stakeholders, ability to negotiate and influence others
