About the Role
As a Senior Paid Media Analytics & Business Intelligence Analyst at arenaflex, you will serve as a critical bridge between data and decision-making. You'll be responsible for supporting our paid media research capabilities to surface data-driven strategic opportunities for our executive leadership team, with a particular focus on optimizing our advertising spend globally.
This role demands a strategic thinker who can translate complex datasets into clear, compelling narratives that inform business decisions. You'll work closely with marketing teams to identify opportunities for improving advertising efficiency and develop robust reporting frameworks, KPIs, and scorecards that track progress and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Analytics & Reporting: Design and deliver comprehensive reporting and insights in the realm of paid media. Create and maintain both scheduled and ad-hoc reports using SQL, MicroStrategy, Tableau, Excel, and other reporting tools to ensure stakeholders have access to timely, accurate information.
- BI & Data Science Development: Plan, build, and lead the development of analytics, business intelligence, and data science initiatives aimed at enhancing paid media effectiveness and improving marketing efficiencies across all channels.
- Media Mix Modeling: Collaborate with the paid media data science team and marketing teams on implementing sophisticated media mix models to optimize budget allocation and maximize ROI across advertising channels.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct specialized analysis through database querying, followed by thoughtful interpretation of results. Design and communicate recommendations that drive tangible business actions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, finance, and data product teams to address complex business challenges. Track marketing and product performance using a data-driven approach that emphasizes measurable outcomes.
- Data Exploration: Analyze data to identify business issues and conduct deep-dive root cause analyses. Use statistical methods and analytical frameworks to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities within our advertising and customer data.
- Insight Generation: Collaborate with partners to leverage both internal data (from Discernible and other sources) and external data from market research and advertising partners to address complex business challenges and deliver meaningful insights.
- Customer Behavior Analysis: Conceptualize and execute research that generates insights on customer behavior and needs, supporting the continued development and improvement of our value proposition.
Essential Qualifications
- Professional Experience: Demonstrated experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Consulting within an e-commerce environment or related field. You should have a track record of translating data into actionable business insights.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced SQL experience is required. You must be comfortable writing complex queries, optimizing database performance, and working with large datasets.
- Visualization Expertise: Advanced proficiency in at least one industry-leading analytics and statistics visualization tool such as Tableau, QuickSight, or PowerBI. Experience creating dashboards that tell compelling stories with data.
- Excel Mastery: Expert-level Excel skills with a proven history of using advanced functions, pivot tables, VBA, and data analysis features to drive business insights.
- Educational Background: Degree in Data Science, Business, Economics, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, or another related quantitative field.
