The Role: Data Analyst – Consumer Insights & Market Research
We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Data Analyst to join our Consumer Insights team at arenaflex. This role will be pivotal in supporting our Product, Marketing, and Content Curation groups, as well as our In-Home Promotional and Distribution teams. As a Data Analyst, you will work closely with the Senior Director and partner extensively with product teams to investigate, orchestrate, and analyze data while providing support for both quantitative and qualitative research initiatives for key stakeholders.
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to arenaflex's customer-facing experiences through meaningful work and dedication. You will be at the forefront of understanding consumer behavior, preferences, and trends that shape the future of entertainment delivery. The primary focus of this role centers on Product and Customer Experience tracking projects, giving you the chance to make a tangible impact on how arenaflex connects with its audience.
Work Schedule: This is a hybrid position requiring in-person collaboration from Monday to Thursday, with remote work flexibility on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with a wide array of responsibilities that span the full spectrum of analytical and research activities. Your contributions will be instrumental in shaping strategic decisions across multiple business units.
- Research Support: Assist with a comprehensive range of qualitative and quantitative research activities, including data collection and mapping, as well as extraction and analysis of information from various sources to build summaries, tables, and report sections that drive business intelligence.
- Data Integration: Join disparate data sets using SQL to support the daily operations of the arenaflex customer experience tracking project. You will be responsible for ensuring data integrity and creating unified views that provide meaningful insights.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with different teams to conduct research, including communicating project goals, business requirements, and timelines to efficiently prioritize, optimize, and enhance our datasets.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with research partners within the team and from other departments, as well as external vendors, ensuring smooth collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Analysis and Reporting: Analyze and prepare ongoing and ad-hoc reports using quantitative and qualitative data for various groups within product marketing, engagement, and product strategy, including the arenaflex Streaming Pack division.
- Project Management: Manage allocated projects, execute quality assurance processes, and report tasks and status to supervisors to ensure completion within established timelines.
- Strategic Partnership: Work with the Senior Director and team to ensure that every deliverable is strategically meaningful and drives key decision-making processes.
- Technical Collaboration: Collaborate with the team and analysis groups within Snowflake and Databricks platforms to leverage advanced analytical tools and technologies.
- Documentation: Maintain both excellent verbal and written knowledge of data elements and requirements to ensure clarity and consistency across all deliverables.
- Internal Support: Respond to critical data requests from internal clients, demonstrating responsiveness and accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Presentation and Discussion: Support the presentation of findings based on research conducted and contribute to related business discussions, translating complex data into actionable recommendations.
- Industry Awareness: Stay at the forefront of SVOD (Subscription Video on Demand) and In-Home industry trends amid a constantly evolving landscape, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative approaches to our analytical practices.
Required Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must possess a strong foundation in data analysis and demonstrate the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. We are looking for candidates who combine technical expertise with strategic thinking and exceptional communication skills.
- SQL Proficiency: Strong capability with SQL, including the ability to query and join dissimilar data sources effectively. You should be comfortable writing complex queries and optimizing data retrieval processes.
- Data Extraction Skills: Ability to extract data and join with different data sources to develop a rich, complete picture for the business. Experience with data wrangling and transformation techniques is essential.
- Quantitative Reasoning: Strong quantitative thinking and analytical abilities, with the capacity to interpret statistical results and translate them into meaningful business insights.
- Time Management: Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-speed environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills, along with the ability to create clear and concise visual presentations that effectively communicate complex findings to diverse audiences.

- Big Data Technologies: Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar environments.
- Programming Languages: Knowledge of programming languages such as R, Python, SAS, or STATA for statistical modeling and data analysis.
- Advanced Education: Postgraduate degree in Market Research or Statistics, which demonstrates advanced analytical capabilities and research methodology expertise.
- Research Background: Quantitative research background, either provider-side (research firm) or client-side (corporate research department), with a track record of delivering actionable insights.
- Survey Analysis Experience: Experience with analyzing survey data to extract meaningful insights that inform strategic decision-making.
- Subscription Models: Experience with subscription-based business models and strategy, particularly in the streaming, media, or entertainment industries.
