VP of Product Management

About the Role

We are hiring a VP of Product Management to lead our product organization through its next phase of growth. This leadership role reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for product strategy, team development, and evolving the operating model that supports both.

RetailNext has built a strong foundation in retail analytics with products trusted by major global retailers. The opportunity ahead is to extend that foundation by combining deep retail expertise, data, and emerging AI capabilities to deliver even greater customer value.

We’re looking for a product leader who combines strategic thinking with strong customer and product engagement, someone who can help the organization scale thoughtfully while partnering closely across Product, Engineering, Sales, and the executive team.

What You’ll Do

Product Vision & Strategy

Set and own the strategic product vision across our platform, including Traffic, Labs, and Asset Protection

Help shape how RetailNext evolves its product offering through AI-native and agentic capabilities that make customer insights more accessible and actionable

Maintain an informed view of the AI landscape and evaluate emerging capabilities for practical customer and business impact

Stay closely connected to the product experience and customer workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and growth

Product Culture & Ways of Working

Continue evolving how the product organization operates across prioritization, delivery cadence, cross-functional collaboration, and team structure

Encourage a culture of rapid iteration, experimentation, and continuous customer feedback

Partner closely with engineering leadership to refine how Product and Engineering work together as the business and platform evolve

Apply flexible and pragmatic approaches to product development based on the needs of the business and teams

Customer Engagement & Market Intelligence

Spend significant time with customers to understand their workflows, business priorities, and competitive environment

Participate directly in customer conversations, product demonstrations, and strategic evaluations

Strengthen competitive intelligence capabilities to support strategic product decisions

Translate customer and market insights into clear roadmap priorities and investment decisions

Team Building & Development

Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing product organization grounded in customer-centric thinking

Define clear ownership areas and expectations for product managers

Support a collaborative team culture where customer engagement and cross-functional partnership are part of everyday work

Cross-Functional Partnership

Build strong partnerships with engineering teams through product depth, customer insight, and sound judgment

Collaborate closely with engineering leadership to align product direction, technical decisions, and delivery outcomes

Align with sales leadership on customer acquisition, retention, and market priorities

Work effectively across global teams and time zones, including engineering leaders based in Europe

What We’re Looking For

Required

Proven B2B product management experience at a senior level, with a track record of shaping product strategy and organizational effectiveness

Experience partnering with engineering leadership to evolve delivery practices with a strong learning and iteration mindset

A thoughtful point of view on how AI and agentic technologies are shaping B2B software, supported by practical experience

Experience building products for business users who are not deeply technical

Strong customer instincts and curiosity about how customers operate and make decisions

The ability to build influence and credibility across functions, particularly with engineering and executive stakeholders

Excellent communication skills — concise, direct, and effective with executives, customers, and technical teams alike

Willingness to travel regularly; this is essential to the role

Valued but Not Required

Previous executive team experience

Retail technology background

Entrepreneurial or startup experience

SaaS platform experience

Experience leading product through a significant platform or business model evolution
