About the Role
As a Virtual Special Education Teacher with VocoVision, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students, providing tailored lessons and support to meet their unique academic and behavioral needs. This full-time position is for the entire 2024-2025 school year and requires a strong background in virtual teaching, as well as a passion for making a difference in the lives of students.
- Key Responsibilities
- Provide Specialized Instruction: Deliver high-quality, tailored lessons to meet the unique academic and behavioral needs of middle or high school students.
- Collaborate with the Education Team: Work closely with other educators, specialists, and families to support student success and ensure a collaborative approach to education.
- Develop and Implement IEPs: Help create and manage Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students, ensuring their needs are met effectively and that progress is monitored and reported.
- Behavioral Support: Manage a caseload of students with high behavioral needs, employing strategies to foster emotional and academic growth, and providing support and guidance to help students overcome challenges.
Essential Qualifications
- To be successful in this role, you'll need to have:
- Active Special Education License: A valid Special Education license is required, demonstrating your expertise and qualifications in special education.
- Virtual Teaching Experience: At least 1 year of virtual teaching experience is essential, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality instruction and support to students remotely.
- Ability to Manage Behavioral Challenges: You'll need to be able to manage students with behavioral challenges and implement effective strategies to support their emotional and academic growth.
