Redwood Trust, Inc. is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where diversity is valued. As a Treasury Analyst, you will help manage the company's liquidity, funding, and financing operations while contributing to strategic initiatives across teams.
Responsibilities
- Support the management of whole loan warehouse lines, including funding requests, reconciliations, and reporting
- Coordinate settlement activity for whole loan trades
- Track collateral positions and borrowing base activity across multiple warehouse lines
- Communicate with financing counterparties, custodians, and broker-dealers to ensure operational accuracy and efficiency
- Prepare internal and external reports for management, auditors, and financing partners
- Assist with financial modeling, cash flow projections and transaction analyses related to structured finance and capital markets activities
- Research market trends and funding spreads to inform pricing and funding strategy
- Contribute to cross-functional projects that improve treasury systems, automation, and strategic funding capabilities
- Monitor and reconcile daily cash positions to support transaction accuracy
- Process wire transfers in compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards
- Support cash forecasting activities and optimization of cash flows across businesses
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in treasury, accounting, banking, or financial operations (internships and co-op placements considered)
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); exposure to treasury management systems and ERP platforms is a plus but not required
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with close attention to detail
- Self-starter with a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and external partners
- Interest in mortgage finance, structured products, or capital markets preferred
