Account Manager (2+ yrs. of Industrial Pump Sales Req.) Description

Our client in the pump industry is seeking an Account Manager to drive business growth in their eastern Missouri and southern Illinois sales territory. In this role, you will provide pump solutions and related services to B2B industrial customers, utilizing company-provided leads while also uncovering new business prospects through market research. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude and proven success in industrial sales, particularly with pump equipment. To succeed in this role, you must be highly motivated, possess strong interpersonal skills, and be data-driven. Account Manager (2+ yrs. of Industrial Pump Sales Req.) Responsibilities

Deliver pump solutions across industries for complex applications

Develop and maintain customer relationships for pumps, seals, and repair services

Grow sales in the assigned region

Utilize provided leads and self-generate new business opportunities

Coordinate territory travel to meet with ~5 customers or prospects per day

Identify bid opportunities and collaborate with inside sales on quotes

Manage the creation, submission, and closing of customer quotes and orders

Work with Product Specialists on customer presentations and lunch & learn sessions

Provide after-sales support, including parts sales, warranty claims, and repairs

Offer value-added solutions to improve equipment reliability and performance

Continuously improve product knowledge and understanding of end-user applications

Participate in ongoing training opportunities provided by the company

Account Manager (2+ yrs. of Industrial Pump Sales Req.) Qualifications

5+ years of B2B technical & industrial outside sales experience is required

2+ years of industrial pump equipment sales experience is required

Strong mechanical aptitude is required

Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, & PowerPoint proficiency is required

Ability to travel 50%-75% within territory (~100 miles) + quarterly corporate visits is required

Ability to spend 2-3 days of your 1st week at the corporate office for training is required
