We're looking for a driven and analytically-minded Technology Data Analyst I to join our Technology Planning and Analysis team within Business Operations. Position Overview: Technology Data Analyst I

As a Technology Data Analyst I, you will work closely with your partners to create scalable assessment strategies that analyze collections of work being added to our technology roadmap. This includes investigations related to cost modeling, sequencing and dependency planning, prioritization, and taxonomy buildout. You will play a critical role in transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

As a valued member of our Technology Planning and Analysis team, you will be responsible for:


  • Data Integration and Analysis: Organize multiple sources of data to build multivariate frameworks that support analysis and drive decisions for the organization at-large.

  • Dashboard and Tool Development: Create and deploy tools and dashboards for end users that power data-driven decision-making across all levels of the business.

  • Automation and Scaling: Build strategic decision-making frameworks and write scripts that help automate and scale our operations efficiently.

  • Goal Setting and Measurement: Work with partners to establish and identify objectives; define measurable targets, key results, and relevant metrics for the business; then ensure we track and report on them consistently.

  • Roadmap Stewardship: Be a diligent steward for our technology roadmap—communicating status and plans to partners as appropriate while maintaining transparency throughout the process.

  • Organizational Alignment: Achieve organizational goals by driving through challenges, handling multiple priorities, and ensuring alignment with your partners and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need:


  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Analytical Expertise: Knowledge of informatics, data analysis, and management consulting (specifically in a quantitative or data-heavy role).

  • Technical Proficiency: Experience working with data manipulation software such as R, SQL, and Python; experience building dashboards using tools like Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms.

  • Database Skills: Strong ability to write database queries and scripts for data extraction and analysis.

  • Technology Understanding: Proven understanding of various types of existing and emerging technologies and their ecosystems, with a highly developed understanding of how to collaborate with different teams to launch new products.

  • Cross-Functional Experience: Experience working with engineering and product teams to develop and launch products, with the ability to translate requirements for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Self-Motivation: Strong strategic capability, consistent judgment, and excellent direction—you're a self-starter who takes initiative.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer competitive compensation packages that reflect the value you bring to our organization. The hiring range for this position in California is $77,300 to $103,600 annually (based on a 40-hour work week). The base salary offered will consider internal equity and may vary depending on the applicant's geographic location, work-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
