This role is responsible for turning strategy into execution - - ensuring that security programs, regulatory initiatives, and cross-functional projects are planned, tracked, delivered, and defensible.

You will operate as the central coordination layer across cybersecurity, IT, engineering, and external stakeholders - - owning KPIs, reporting, documentation, and delivery discipline.

This role is for someone who thrives in complex environments and can bring order, structure, and momentum to rapidly scaling programs.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Project Execution

  • Own end-to-end execution of cybersecurity initiatives and cross-functional IT projects
  • Build and maintain project plans, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables
  • Drive accountability across stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-scope delivery
  • Identify and escalate risks, blockers, and resource constraints early

KPI Development & Executive Reporting

  • Define, track, and report on cybersecurity KPIs and program health metrics
  • Build executive-level dashboards and reporting artifacts (board-ready)
  • Translate technical progress into clear business and risk-based updates
  • Establish consistent reporting cadence across all initiatives

Governance, Documentation & Audit Readiness

  • Maintain centralized documentation for policies, projects, controls, and evidence
  • Ensure all initiatives are audit-ready and aligned to regulatory frameworks

Cross-Functional Coordination (Cybersecurity + IT)

  • Act as the primary coordination point between cybersecurity, IT, and engineering teams
  • Align cybersecurity initiatives with enterprise IT projects and dependencies
  • Ensure security requirements are integrated into broader technology initiatives

Process & Operational Maturity

  • Establish and enforce project management standards, workflows, and tooling
  • Improve program visibility, predictability, and execution discipline
  • Introduce scalable processes for tracking, prioritization, and resource alignment
  • Continuously identify opportunities to reduce friction and increase throughput

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years of experience in technical project/program management, preferably within cybersecurity, IT, or engineering environments
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity domains (GRC, AppSec, SecOps, Product Security)
  • Experience building and managing:
    • KPIs and performance metrics
    • Executive reporting and dashboards
    • Project plans and dependency tracking
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, NERC CIP, etc.)
  • Strong organizational and documentation discipline

Preferred

  • Experience in critical infrastructure, energy, or industrial environments
  • Familiarity with security tooling and platforms (GRC tools, ticketing systems, etc.)
  • Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, CISM, CISSP, or similar
  • Experience operating in global, cross-cultural environments

Competencies

  • Execution Discipline: Focus on delivery, timelines, and accountability
  • Structured Thinker: Brings clarity and order to complex, ambiguous environments
  • Operational Authority: Drives progress without waiting for direction
  • Translator: Converts technical activity into business-relevant insight
  • Resilient Operator: Thrives under pressure and manages competing priorities effectively

Strategic Fit

  • Enables scalable execution of the cybersecurity program
