Overview A growing public accounting firm is seeking a Tax Manager to join its team, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses. This role offers exposure to complex tax matters across pass-through entities, individual returns, and estate/gift planning. - Responsibilities
- Manage and review a wide range of tax engagements, including partnerships, S-Corps, C-Corps, and individual (1040) returns
- Oversee tax compliance for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates
- Review and advise on estate, trust, and gift tax filings
- Provide strategic tax planning for business owners and individuals
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships
- Mentor and review the work of senior and staff-level tax professionals
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
- Collaborate with partners on complex tax strategies and client planning initiatives
- Stay current on tax law changes and advise clients accordingly
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Tax preferred)
- CPA required
- 6+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Strong experience with pass-through entities, 1040s, and entity taxation
- Exposure to estate, trust, and gift tax preferred
- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $135,000 – $180,000
