System Analyst/Business Analyst — Payments & Finance Operations

About the Role
The OPS Tech Payments & Finance stream is expanding several important initiatives across operational payments and finance processes. We are looking for additional analytical capacity to support delivery, strengthen methodology, and build scalable and compliant solutions.
The role focuses on large operational payment platforms and finance-related processes, including branch cash operations, clearing, reconciliation, and adjacent payment systems. It requires strong systems thinking and a deep understanding of banking operations.
Responsibilities
Translate operational and business requirements into structured product specifications: mock-ups, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria

Work closely with operations and finance teams to understand their day-to-day work and transform it into clear processes

Design operational interfaces and the workflows behind them

Ensure that processes meet regulatory requirements and fit into existing operational journeys

Connect processes to the underlying systems, assess current integration capabilities, and define required changes

Support the migration and extension of existing functionality on the new platform

Hand specifications over to development and support testing, release, acceptance, and stakeholder demos

Support automation across payment platforms, branch cash operations, clearing, reconciliation, and related finance processes

Help reduce manual work and strengthen audit readiness

Requirements
3+ years of experience as a business or system analyst in banking or financial services

Solid understanding of banking products, operational processes, and the regulatory environment

Knowledge of the payments domain, including card transactions, settlements, clearing, reconciliation, payments, accounting, or operations

Hands-on experience designing operational interfaces, complex objects, and workflows

Experience working closely with operations teams and embedding new processes into existing journeys

Experience designing compliant processes in financial services

Understanding of integrations: APIs, queues, and data exchange

Experience using logs and data to investigate issues

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work effectively across business, operations, finance, and technology teams

English B2 — you’ll work with international colleagues

Nice to have
Background in a bank’s methodology or process function, including the development of standards, procedures, or internal regulations

Understanding of branch banking, back-office operations, and banking accounting

Experience with payment platforms, settlements, reconciliation, or finance-related operational flows

A combination of business and system analysis experience

Experience with low-code CRM/BPM platforms such as Creatio, Salesforce, Pega, or similar

Experience working with South-East Asia operations teams

SQL or BI/DWH experience
