Remote, USA Full-time Immediate Start

As a global leader in cybersecurity, CrowdStrike protects the people, processes and technologies that drive modern organizations. Since 2011, our mission hasn’t changed — we’re here to stop breaches, and we’ve redefined modern security with the world’s most advanced AI-native platform. Our customers span all industries, and they count on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe and their lives moving forward. We’re also a mission-driven company. We cultivate a culture that gives every CrowdStriker both the flexibility and autonomy to own their careers. We’re always looking to add talented CrowdStrikers to the team who have limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to our customers, our community and each other. Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you.

About the Role:
Join CrowdStrike's internal SRE team as an Engineering Supervisor where you'll lead a team of Site Reliability Engineers focused on the automation, reliability, and observability of our internal developer platform. This platform empowers thousands of CrowdStrike engineers to build and deploy software rapidly, efficiently, and at scale.

As an Engineering Supervisor on the Technical Operations team, you are first and foremost a people leader. You will run a high-performing team with deep expertise across load balancers, relational and non-relational databases, message queues (Kafka, Pulsar, RedPanda), caching layers (Redis, Valley, Varnish), and SLI/SLO reporting. You'll be responsible not just for what the team ships, but for how they grow — through regular 1:1s, clear delegation, career development, and a culture of mentorship and operational excellence.
Beyond your team, you'll build and maintain key relationships with technical leaders across the organization, contribute to architectural direction, and ensure the services your team owns are positioned for the company's next level of scale. You will 'dot line' to US based managers to assist their teams in executing on projects and the mission.

Additionally, you'll be responsible for cultivating a team that values mentorship, continuous learning, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do
People Leadership
Lead a team of SREs through regular 1:1s, goal setting, performance feedback, and career development conversations

Identify capability gaps on your team and create actionable development plans to close them

Delegate full workstreams with clear authority - not just tasks - and coach engineers through ambiguity rather than solving problems for them

Hire, onboard, and retain strong engineering talent

Foster a team culture centered on psychological safety, continuous learning, and operational excellence

Serve as the escalation point for blockers, cross-team dependencies, and prioritization conflicts

Technical Leadership
Support the CICD environment by monitoring availability and maintaining a holistic view of system health

Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications

Drive automation solutions for service deployment and operational workflows

Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and root cause analysis

Participate in system design, platform management, and capacity planning

Mentor and drive the team to integrate agentic and AI-assisted workflows into existing team processes

Strategic Contribution
Align team initiatives with broader organizational objectives and communicate roadmap direction clearly to your team

Investigate and evaluate emerging technologies; provide recommendations that support future roadmap goals

Create and maintain automated reporting on service health, compliance, and team output on a regular cadence

Partner with peer supervisors, managers, and senior engineering leaders to drive cross-team improvements

What You'll Need:
People Management
3+ years of experience directly managing engineers, including performance management, career development, and hiring

Create an environment where engineers learn, take ownership, and operate with increasing autonomy

Demonstrated ability to lead and develop distributed, remote teams across multiple time zones

Experience delegating technical workstreams (not just tasks) and holding engineers accountable to outcomes

Strong communication skills - able to give direct, specific feedback and navigate disagreement to resolution

Technical
7+ years of experience working in large-scale production SRE or infrastructure environments

2+ years of experience leveraging and integrating AI workflows to increase efficiency

On-Premise and Cloud expertise deploying and operating:

CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bazel, GitHub Actions)

IaC provisioning (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet)

Source code management (Bitbucket, GitLab, GitHub)

Monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Datadog, Humio/LogScale)

Experience operating, deploying, and scaling applications on Kubernetes

Extensive experience deploying and managing data infrastructure (Postgres, Opensearch, Kafka, Redis/Valkey) at scale

Proficiency in common scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell)

Experience with storage technologies (SAN, NAS, NFS, Object Storage)

Security-first mindset with a working understanding of cybersecurity principles

General
Proven ability to make well-informed, timely decisions under ambiguity

Ability to balance short-term operational needs against long-term strategic goals

Self-directed learner who takes initiative in fast-moving environments

Must be able to work with a distributed team across multiple time zones

Meticulous attention to detail

Bonus Points:
Familiarity with networking patterns (Load balancers, DNS, VIPS, Routing, Firewall rules)

Knowledge of multiple cloud hyperscalers such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle)

Experience with data science principles and tooling such as Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, etc
