The UW School of Medicine and Public Health is dedicated to supporting the success of MD students. The Student Success Program Coordinator plays a key role in planning and executing MD orientation programming, managing onboarding processes, and supporting student leadership development through advising and coordination of student organizations.
Responsibilities
- May supervise the day to day activities of one or more academic programs and resolves issues exercising discretion to meet unit goals
- Coordinates program components and evaluates program effectiveness and provides recommendations for improvement
- Identifies program, needs, contributes to the development of unit workflows, schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings, events, and interviews
- Utilizes independent judgement regarding development, implementation, promotion, and evaluation for one or more academic programs, initiatives, or events
Skills
- Demonstrated experience supporting students or coordinating student-facing programs in higher education, student affairs, health professions education, or a related setting
- Demonstrated experience independently coordinating logistics, communications, and implementation of educational or student programming
- Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills
- Experience supporting student leadership and/or student organizations in a higher education setting
- Experience with program assessment, theme tracking, or continuous improvement efforts
- Bachelor's degree preferred minimum
