Associated Engineering is seeking a Structural (Buildings) Engineer-in-Training to join their Vancouver office. The role offers an opportunity to grow in a dynamic work environment while focusing on technical leadership and project management.


Responsibilities

  • You will also have the opportunity to develop a career path focused on technical leadership, project management, client management, or a combination based on your career aspirations and qualifications

Skills

  • Undergraduate degree in civil or structural engineering from an accredited university
  • Registered, or eligible for registration, as an Engineer-in-Training with EGBC
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in consulting engineering is an asset
  • Familiar with structural analysis programs such as SAP 2000 or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of local building codes and Canadian design standards
  • Ability to read, interpret and create drawings and specifications
  • Ability to compose technical memorandum and technical report with minimal supervision
  • Committed team player and the ability to work independently
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • General knowledge of construction methods and project delivery processes
  • Site experience is an asset
