- *Huge plus if you have experience with the Korean gaming market The Strategy Director will be responsible for defining how we win the trust of entrenched MOBA players and RTS enthusiasts. You will oversee the strategic narrative for key phases:
Closed Alpha 2, Closed Beta, and the Global Launch. You must be comfortable working within a "360" agency framework, integrating creator activations, PC Bang strategies in Korea, and major global events like Gamescom and GStar.
Key Responsibilities
- GTM Framework & Phasing
- Develop a comprehensive, scalable strategic approach for the three-phase rollout(Alpha, Beta, Launch).
- Identify how to allocate a ~$XXM budget effectively across primary markets (Europe, Korea) and secondary markets (NA, LATAM).
- Market-Specific Strategy
- Korea: Design a "hyper-local" strategy to compete with existing titles, leveraging PC Bangs and regional platforms like KakaoTalk.
- EU/NA: Develop a narrative that establishes "competitive credibility" and long-term trust among hardcore MOBA players (LoL, Dota 2).
- Cross-Channel Integration
- Collaborate with the Global Managing Director and Business Development
- Director to ensure activations (Gamescom, GStar) tie back to core KPIs: acquisition, retention, and community sentiment.
- Determine the role of Paid Media and performance-oriented metrics in the overall campaign.
- Esports & Talent Strategy
- Leverage our clients relationship to establish the game’s "esport credibility" from day one.
- Strategize how to use show matches, player profiles, and creator-driven content to drive Steam wishlist's and registrations.
- Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years in strategic planning, with a proven track record of leadinglarge-scale global GTM campaignsfor AAA game publishers.
- MOBA/RTS Expertise: Deep understanding of the competitive landscape and the nuances of the MOBA/RTS player base.
- Territory Knowledge: Experience in theKorean gaming marketand publishing operations is a significant plus.
- Senior Presentation Skills: Ability to articulate a high-level strategic "North Star" to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborator: Comfortable working in a matrixed environment involving agency leadership and professional esports organizations
