Position Overview

The Strategic Business Analysis Manager will serve as a lead subject matter expert and process owner within our newly established FP&A Functions Center. This role is central to achieving our organization-wide G&A objectives and requires someone who can seamlessly blend financial expertise with strategic thinking and exceptional communication skills.

You will be responsible for supporting high-profile workstreams directly aligned with executive needs, leading process improvement initiatives, and driving efficiency across our financial operations. Key Responsibilities

Executive-Aligned Workstream Support: Lead and support prominent workstreams that are directly aligned with executive strategic priorities. Process Improvement Leadership: spearhead the development and optimization of our new spend approval committee processes. You will identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and efficiency gains while ensuring robust controls and compliance remain intact.

Spend Request Review and Presentation: Organize, review, and present spend requests to a distinguished panel comprised of Finance leadership. You will be responsible for ensuring all submissions are thoroughly vetted, financially sound, and aligned with organizational priorities.

Executive Communication: Prepare comprehensive leadership responses and presentations to explain spending requests, financial justifications, and strategic recommendations. Your ability to communicate complex financial concepts with clarity and persuasion will be essential.

Data Systems Mastery: Explore and become proficient in internal data systems to develop a confident mastery of spend baselines, budget allocations, and financial forecasting models. You will leverage these systems to extract meaningful insights and drive data-informed decision-making.

Efficiency Validation: Lead comprehensive reviews to validate productivity and efficiency recommendations across projects and initiatives. You will assess the financial impact of proposed improvements and provide evidence-based recommendations to stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand business needs, and ensure financial solutions align with operational objectives. Your partnership with various departments will be crucial to achieving unified organizational goals.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must bring a robust combination of experience, technical expertise, and interpersonal skills. We are looking for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:

Financial Analysis Experience: A minimum of four years of progressive experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, budgeting, and business planning. You should have a demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and translate findings into strategic recommendations.

Process Improvement Expertise: At least three years of experience in process improvement management. You should be familiar with methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks and have a track record of implementing successful process enhancements.

Industry Experience: Four years of material experience in the retail or technology industry. Understanding the unique financial dynamics, operational complexities, and strategic imperatives of these sectors will be valuable in this role.

Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Four years of experience contributing to and driving cross-functional teams. You should be comfortable collaborating with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and facilitating alignment across departmental boundaries.

Decision Maker Engagement: Four years of experience making recommendations to decision makers. You must be capable of presenting complex financial information to senior executives with confidence, clarity, and influence.

Preferred Qualifications
